what are the 2 things (given stuff or given %) you can do if a problem asks “what percent…”?
Given stuff: Part/whole or (stuff/stuff)
Given %: 100-(%+%)
what is the expression you can give if a problem says “How many…”?
% times total
(percent OF total)
(percent times “stuff”)
1/8 equals

what sign should you ALWAYS put at the end of every percentage number?
% (percentage)
what should you do if you have a problem that says for example “45% of them are NOT talking. How many of them ARE talking?”
you should have 2 parts. Part 1 should be the format 45% or whatever they gave you for not and multiply it by the total. Then whatever answer you get you need to subtract it from the total and that’s your answer.
At Waldo’s wings, 34% of the wings ordered are honey mustard, 16% are bbq, 7% are lemon ginger and the rest are honey mustard. If a total of 300 wings were sold, how many were many were bqq?
