large porcelain producing city in Southern China from 13rd century
Underglaze Blue (Porcelain)
cobalt oxide painted onto clay, covered with transparent glaze.
Overglaze enamels (Porcelain)
low-firing colored glazes painted onto the glaze after the main porcelain firing. Then pieces are fired again at a lower temperature.

a coating that derives from the sap from a tree - Rhus verliciflua
