Sepsis Guidelines
At least two of the following:
(1) Temp greater than 100.4 F (38C) or less than 95.5F (35.5C)
(2) HR Greater than 100BPM
(3) RR greater than 25 (or EtCO2 less than or equal to 32mmHg)
(4) Hypotension (systolic less than 90)
(5) lactate reading greater than 4mmol/L
Trauma Catagory Alpha
(1) GCS less than or equal to 13
(2) Systolic B/P less than 90 (Adult) less than 60 (peds)
(3) Respiratory rate less than 10 or greater than 29 or in need of ventilatory support.
Trauma Catagory Bravo
(1) 2 or more proximal long bone Fx
(2) Amputation proximal to wrist or ankle
(3) Chest wall instability or deformity
(4) Crushed, degloved, mangled or pulseless extremity
(5) Open or Depressed Skull Fx
(6) Penetrating injury to the head, neck, torso, or extremity proximal to the elbow or wrist
(7) Pelvic Fx
(8) Paralysis
Trauma Catagory Charlie
(1) High-Risk Auto Crash
(2) Falls (Adult, greater than 20 feet, peds greater than 10 feet or three times their hight)
(3) Exposure to blast or explosion
Trauma Catagory Delta
(1) Older Adults
(2) Children
(3) Burns
(4) Pregnancy greater than 20 weeks
(5) EMS judgment
(6) Bleeding disorders
