Willis

A

Show that the boys were anti-school, a form of rebellion, not passive.
Counter school culture - These boys used distractions away from education, looked only to their future in factory labour, no purpose of education
Similarly, shop floor culture distracts from the boredom of the workplace but still does the work, acting laddish when the owner is away with lads but gets the work done when the owner is present.
