What is a map?
It is a drawing or picture of the earth
What is a Globe?
It is a three dimensional representation of the earth
What are Aerial Photographs?
They are pictures taken from space or above the sky
Explain Maps and Aerial Photographs ?
Maps shows a bird eye view,so does aerial photographs, maps are drawn and do not show everything as it appears on the ground, Photos shows everything, maps use symbols, colors and abbreviations to represent, Aerial shows things exactly as they are
What is a border?
A square or rectangle drawn around the map (boundary)
What is a title?
It is what the map is about
What is a Compass direction?
Arrows showing where to go on the map
What is a legend/key means?
It shows what the symbols, abbreviations, colors on the map means
What is a scale?
It is use to tell real distances of place and the size of the area shown
What is a Political Map?
Shows boundaries made by man
