A

Proper Waste Disposal
Use of 5Rs

17
Q

is the responsible removal and transfer of wastes.

A

Proper Waste Disposal

18
Q

Why is Waste Segregation important

A

-some wastes are biodegradable, which means that these decompose and return the
environment naturally.
Materials that do not decompose easily are non-biodegradable be done for non-biodegradable waste, as well as using biodegradable waste for such waste.
Segregating waste into these two types increases the rate at which recycling can useful things as fertilizer.
waste segregation allows people to properly manage wastes.
Some non-biodegradable waste can still be reused or recycled for other purposes.
If waste is segregated, there is less cost to dispose of the non- biodegradable waste, as biodegradable waste can be used as fertilizer.
Hazardous wastes come from hospitals and manufacturing facilities, such as factories.
This kind of waste is poisonous or dangerous to humans, and if these mix in with other wastes, they will contaminate the environment.

19
Q

Example of Proper Waste Disposal

A

Waste segregation

20
Q

different types of pollution (5)

21
Q

A mining activity - which is designed to extract minerals from the ground - that is undertaken without the permission of the authorities of a state. Such permission is needed to ensure that environmental destruction from pollution is minimized

A

Illegal Mining

22
Q

is a method of fishing where cyanide, a poison, is used to kill marine animals, such as fish, which are then harvested.

A

Cyanide fishing

23
Q

What is Cause and Effect? (Global Warming & Climate Change)

A

Global Warming - Cause
Climate Change - Effect

24
Q

is a method of fishing where dynamite is thrown into the water, killing any fish nearby. The blast also destroys and kills coral and other underwater organisms, and is thus very destructive

A

Dynamite Fishing

25
Q

refers to the decrease of areas which would naturally be forested, with those areas being used for such activities as agriculture, mining or urban development.

A

Deforestation

26
Q

refers to the destruction and possible mass death of the world’s cord reefs, which shelter marine life. This is caused by many factors, such as cyanide and dynamite fishing, climate change, water pollution, and careless tourism.

A

Coral reef degradation

27
Q

Coral reef is compose of

32
Q

The movement of chemical pesticides from the intended place to another, cause by wind or other tactors. Can cause accidental exposure of human, animals or plants to pesticides.

A

Pesticide Drifting

33
Q

is the conversion of forested areas to non-forest land uses, such as arable land, urban areas, logged areas, or wasteland

A

Deforestation

34
Q

Can cause a variety of risks to our carbon dioxide, traps heat in the health, ranging from altering patterns of infectious diseases to lower atmosphere causing thedeaths in extreme temperatures.

A

Climate Change

35
Q

emissions from these activities, particularly carbon dioxide

A

greenhouse gases

36
Q

refers to the gradual rise in the overall temperature of the atmosphere of the Earth

A

Global Warming
