what is raga alapani?
the first part of the alapanai.

what is raga vardhani?
Strats on madhya sthayi sadjam and continues in mantra sthayi for most alapanais.
-mostly in vilamba Kalam but occasionally intersped with madhyma and duritha Kalam sancharams.
alapanai is usually rendered mainly in tara sthayi.

arohana sthayi and avarohana sthayi

these sancharas begin on madhya sthayi sadjam and without touching any note above it on can make sancharas in mantra sthayi go very low.

begin on taarasthayi sadjam without touching any note lower than it to make two sancharas in atithara sthayi.ending on taara sthayi sadjam.
