Slow Flight

A
  1. Clear the area
  2. Carb heat on
  3. Power idle
  4. Full Flaps and Full trim up
  5. Slow to 55 MPH

Recovery:

  1. Power - FULL
  2. Carb Heat - OFF
  3. Flaps and Trim clean it up!

Power Off Stall (Straight Ahead)

A
  1. Clear the area
  2. Carb heat on
  3. Power Idle
  4. Flaps full and trim up
  5. Maintain altitude
  6. Smoothly increase back pressure until you stall

Recover! Carb heat off, clean it up

Power Off Stall (Descending)

A
  1. Clear the area
  2. Carb heat on
  3. Power idle
  4. Flaps full trim nose up
  5. Slow to and maintain Vapp for 200 ft
  6. Smoothly and firmly hold altitude until stall

Recover! Carb heat off, clean it up

Power On Stall

A
  1. Clear the area
  2. Carb heat - ON
  3. Power idle
  4. Slow to 70 MPH and turn Carb Heat OFF
  5. At 60 MPH, increase throttle to FULL
  6. Smoothly and firmly increase the pitch attitude to an estimated 25 degrees and…. Stall

Recover! Maintain a Vy pitch and then recover to level flight.

Turning Stall

A
  1. Clear the Area
  2. Power reduce to 3200 RPM
  3. Pitch - maintain altitude
  4. Bank 30 and begin a level turn
  5. Maintain altitude until you stall

Recover! Reduce AOA, Wings level, Return to entry alt and heading

  1. Clear the area
  2. Find a reference on the horizon in the direction the nose is facing
  3. Speed: @or below Va
  4. Bank 45 and perform a 360 turn
  5. Maintain altitude and recover on heading

  4. Enter on the downwind on a 45
  5. Fly the pattern while constantly correcting for wind to maintain a straight course across the ground.

Recover by exiting the pattern on the downwind leg
