How is crown different than max. canine?
proportionally longer and narrower

mesial-incisal third; distal-middle third; facial and lingual-closer to the cervical line
mesial surface
relatively flat and more continuous with the mesial surface of root
cingulum
proportionally smaller and the entire lingual anatomy is soother and not so well defined.
lingual surface concave or convex?
tends to be more concave
how are proximal root concavities different than upper canine
deeper; sometimes so deep that the tooth may present two roots a buccal root and lingual root. (didn’t know that lol)
facial notch on the CEJ ?
nope, much more rounded and continuous contour
can be confused with max lateral incisor when flat and worn. what are the major differences?
distobuccal line angle (more rounded at the cervical in the canine) and the cross section of the incisal surface : rectangular (or even ribbon shaped) in the incisor and diamond shaped in the canine. Also the root shapes are different
which is closer to midline max or mand canine?
mandibular canine is a half tooth closer to the midline
