What is the difference between GDPR and the UKDPA
GDPR is personal data. UKDPA is all data.
Who are the VOA clients?
Depends on stream of work. Rating is MHCLG and DVS is HMRC.
What is the VOA complaints handling procedure?
2 Tier.
Initial assessment and response from complaint handler. Second review by a different complaints handler. Refer to adjudicator. MP complaints.
What is the statutory limit for responding to complaints?
28 days.
VOA SLA is 29 days

What risks could you experience during your work?
- Exposed to excess noise or vibration
- exposed to toxic/hazardous materials
- required to drive for extended periods

- working close to vehicles
How do you maintain PPE?
PPE should be inspected before each shift or major project
PPE should be tested before use to ensure it’s still effective
PPE should be stored in a clean, dry place to prevent contamination
PPE should be replaced according to manufacturer instructions or when damaged/worn out
What are your policies for lone working?
Outside the office. Ensure someone is aware of your location, contact details are in your calendar, phone is charged, and you have a personal safety alarm. Don’t enter somewhere if you don’t feel safe.
Within the office, 3 staff members present at all times on the rare occasion someone is lone working ensure a first aider is on site and they keep in regular contact with line manager.
What is a risk assessment?
Process of analysing and evaluating potential hazards and risks for a particular task and the control measures that can mitigate those risks.
What are the stages of a risk assessment?
- Identify the hazard
- Decide who might be harmed
- Evaluate the risks and decide on precautions
- Record the findings
- Review regularly
What is a dynamic risk assessment?
A real-time, ongoing process of identifying and managing risks in changing and unpredictable environments, allowing workers to quickly assess and address hazards as they arise
