PPE should be tested before use to ensure it’s still effective
PPE should be stored in a clean, dry place to prevent contamination
PPE should be replaced according to manufacturer instructions or when damaged/worn out

What are your policies for lone working?

A

Outside the office. Ensure someone is aware of your location, contact details are in your calendar, phone is charged, and you have a personal safety alarm. Don’t enter somewhere if you don’t feel safe.

Within the office, 3 staff members present at all times on the rare occasion someone is lone working ensure a first aider is on site and they keep in regular contact with line manager.
