How should an individual manage our stakeholders?

A

Ackermann & Eden (2011): Model for stakeholder management based on power and interest.

  • Manage players closely.
  • Try to keep Context Setters satisfied and increase their interest so they become players.
  • Keep Subjects informed and attempt to increase their power by forming strategic alliances; this will convert them into powerful players.
  • Monitor the Crowd as their interest and/or power could be raised. However, they are unlikely to be worth management time/effort.
