Q

Do you prefer to work alone or in a group?

A

I found that you’re never really working alone. Even if you’re independent on a project there is always someone depending on you and someone that you’re depending on

Q

Biggest failure?

A

A true failure is a missed opportunity to learn from mistakes. Everyone makes mistakes. I strive to make every mistake into a learning opportunity. Ex. A&F forgot to call in someone. As as a first week MIT. And under no supervision. As a manager you can’t pass off the responsibility to someone else

Q

Tell me a time where you had to deal with a difficult customer?

A

A customer called in to our store and she was calling about her daughters coat and how as soon as her daughter buttoned up her coat the button came off and it wouldn’t go back on. The daughter and mother both sounded upset and as a retail store manager in trainee I want to resolve the issue, make the customer happy and make our clothing brand look good material wise considering the button incident. I asked the mother on the phone if she had proof of purchase and she did so I told her to come to the store and we would be happy to exchange the coat for a replacement. The mother sounded happy on the phone as soon as I said that and once she came in we successfully exchanged the coat and made two customers leave the store happy knowing that someday they would spread good reviews about our customer service at Abercrombie and Fitch. Maintain the integrity of the brand
