Levels of Management (skills + competencies)
Top level - should have all, mostly conceptual, thinking outside the box, seeing the bigger picture, problem solving.
Middle level - should have a pretty even balance of all three
lower level - mostly technical skills, able to do a job well but may lack in conceptual or human (compared to higher level).
Conceptual Skills
The ability to think analytically and achieve integrative problem solving. Managers need to be able to identify what may cause certain problems and how different problems are related. They have to be able to solve
problems rationally and logically, and understand that decisions can never be made in isolation.

Human Skills
the ability to work well in cooperation with others.
Managers with a high degree of interpersonal skills are able to work with different personalities and can figure out how the different personalities can either help or hinder the task at hand.
Technical Skills
the ability to apply expertise and perform a specific task with proficiency. understanding the methods, processes, procedures, and techniques involved in achieving a particular task.
Transferable Skills
qualities that may be used in a
variety of roles or occupations. These skills can be transferred from one job to
another.
