-responsible for overall management of the business through performing the four basic management activities

- planing
- organising

What is additional management tasks
-communication -motivation -delegating -decision making -disciplining -co-ordination
What is top level management
-long term planning -eg managing director
What is middle level management
-carries out plans and decisions made by top management - medium term planning eg marketing manager and production manager
What is low level management
-daily performance targets are reached -short term planning eg general workers
What is planning?
-setting goals and making plans
What is organising?
-organising and arranging the plans and responsibilities
What is activating?
-start doing the work to achieve its goals
What is controlling?
-making sure are carried out as planned
