Looking ahead and doing things in an orderly way, thinking before acting.
What is the goal of planning
For there to be an optimum balance of demands and resources.
It requires a systemic approach.
Define organizing.
A systemic process of structuring and integrating resources to achieve objectives.
How is organizing done?
Having structure and levels of authority responisbility.
Define leadership
Inspiring and energizing people to achieve high goals
What does leadership require?
To set standards to achieve goals, check performance, and make changes if performance does not meet the standards.
What does it mean to control?
Monitoring progress towards a goal and taking corrective action if there is a dedication from what’s expected.
What are the four kinds of managers?
Top managers
Middle managers
Line managers
Team leaders
What do top managers do?
Create positive organizational culture and monitor business environment.
What do middle managers do?
Set objectives that align with top management goals
Allocate resources to meet goals.
What do line managers do?
The same things that middle managers do.
What do team leaders do?
Facilitate team activities toward accomplishing a goal.
Manage internal and external relationships.
What are the different roles that all managers make?
Interpersonal

Monitoring
