a malicious code that takes advantage of an internet browser vulnerability to make the browser do something you dont want.

a remote access trojan which gives control of your computer to a hacker.
root-kit
the software that enables a hacker to get control of your computer.
diallers
a malicious program that takes control of your computer and uses it to dial expensive phone numbers.
scare-ware
scareware is a false security software that tries to scare the user into buying it by warning of some threat to the system.
adware
adware displays unwanted adverts on your computer without asking your permission.
spyware
spyware programs gather information about you from your computer this can be personal information.
keylogger
a keylogger is a program designed to track and monitor user keystrokes often used to steal passwords numbers etc.
