ETC Unemployment
Where employed people go to apply for benefits, they test your skills. Those who qualify for part 1 get an interview and if they do not manage to get a job more than twice then they’re off the list and stay on benefits. Part 2 is for part time people who want 2nd get no benefits
Malta environment and planning authority

Eu monetary EMU
Involves the co-ordinates of economic and fiscal policies, a common monetary policy and common currency is the euro
European Central Bank role
- Sets interest rates at which it lends to commercial banks in eurozone
- Manages eurozones foreign currency reserves and buying/selling of currencies to balance exchange rates
- Authorises production of Euro bank notes by eurozone countries
- Monitors price trends and assesses risks to price stability
- Ensures financial markets and institutes are being well supervised by national authorities
- Lowers inflation
- Lowers interest rates
Central bank
- Operates government monetary policy,
. Decrease in interest = more borrowing = more spending - Supervises banking sector = keep overall control of the banking sector
- Lender of last resort - provides cash for banks in difficult times on its own terms.

Malta stock exchange
- Where stocks/shares are sold and provides market for long term borrowing
- Government borrows through here
- Firms benefit as existence of market for second hand shares, allows them to issue new shares more easily

- Regulates financial services sector - incorporates all financial activity
- Management of the registry of companies
3 setting out policy and general direction - Responsibile for licensing, supervision and regulation for authorisation
