Who is Bronislaw Malinowski?
A
Malinowski is an Anthropologist(1954) shares similar views with Durkheim that religion promotes solidarity.
However in his study he does so by performing physiological functions for individuals, helping them cope with emotional stress that would undermine social solidarity.
He identifies 2 types of situations in which religion performs this role :
