Secrete a lubricating mucous
What is another name used for the bulbourethral gland?
Cowper’s gland.
What is the function of the prostate gland?
Secrete a clotting enzyme to make semen:
* Gelatinous
* Alkaline (high pH)
What is the function of the seminal vesicles?
Secrete a solution that contains fructose.
(sperm food)
What is the pathway sperm takes in the reproductive system to become semen?
Epididymis → Vas Defrens & the 3 glands → Urethra
