A
Semen has fluids that activate the sperm from the seminal vesicle, and fluid from the prostate gland that combines with sperm to make semen.

A
So many sperm are needed because if only one sperm was released, the chances of fertilizing the egg are less, but with more the egg is likely to be fertilized.

Sperm can remain viable for up to 5 days.
