- Moved to the epididymis by peristalsis

- Semen is alkaline that protects, nourishes and transports sperm during transportation - via peristalsis

A
- formation of the sex cells - involves having half the number of chromosomes in each cell - achieved by cell division called meiosis
Female = oogenesis
Male = spermatogenesis
When the two gametes unite at fertilisation the full number of chromosomes is restored
