Vas Deferens
Two long thin tubes that act as passageways for sperm and a place for sperm storage, they extend from the scrotum up into the abdomen, they are lined with cilia that help in transport
Seminal Vesicle
2 elongated saclike glands at the base of the bladder that secrete a fluid rich in sugar - helps sperm move
Prostate Gland
A gland that produces a fluid that helps keep sperm alive, without the prostate, no fluid would be produced and the chances of the sperm fertilizing would be almost impossible
-Common site for cancer for males from 30-60
Cowpers Gland
Located beneath the prostate gland, two small glands about the size of peas that secrete a clear lubricating fluid into the urethra as part of the semen
Urethra
Serves as a passageway for sperm and urine to leave the body
Penis
Mae sex organ used for reproduction and urination
Erection
Process that occurs when the penis swells with blood and elongates
Ejaculation
Passage of semen from the penis as a result of involuntary muscle contractions, after ejaculation the penis returns to its non erect state
