Testes temperature
Situated outside the body inside the scrotum. It’s situated outside the body because they are sensitive to high temperature. Thy need to be 2 to 3°C to ensure optimal sperm production.
What are testes
Testes are the primary male sex organ

The testes are externally enclosed by sac of skin known as the scrotum
Function of testes
- It produces testosterone the male hormone
- Produces and release sperm cells
Epididymis

- stores sperm produced in testes. Sperm is stored until its mature, ready to fertilise the ovum
- It secrets a mucus that helps with the sperm movement.
What are seminiferous tubules
long convulated tubule that join to form the epididymis

Prostate Gland

- secretes prostate fluid (a milky alkaline liquid with gives seven it’s characteristic smell)
- ensures maximum motility of sperm
- protect sperm against low pH in urethra (Urethra is used for both urine and semen transport so it needs to be cleared of urin before semen passes through otherwise low pH level of urine can kill sperm )and vagina
