• Potent azoospermic agent and impairs sperm motility (both are reversible)
• Destroys elements of the
  seminiferous epithelium without altering endocrine functions of the testis in a major fashion
• Side Effects :
• Hypokalemia (may lead to
  transient paralysis at high
  doses)
• Diarrhea, edema, dyspnea,
  neuritis
• Azoospermia develops over months – recovery after d/c also takes months
