Repeating episodes of fever (can be fatal), damage to red blood cells and rarely damage to the liver

How is Malaria spread?
A
A mosquito (which is infected, but not affected by the malaria protist) feeds on an animal and inserts the protist into their blood vessels.

How can Malaria be prevented?
A
Spraying exposed skin with insect repellent, sleeping under a mosquito net.
