How do you make a volumetric solution?

A
  1. Weigh out precise amount of solid (3dp)
  2. Add to volume of water in beaker
  3. Stir
  4. Transfer to volumetric flask
  5. Rinse beaker with distilled water and add rinsing to flask
  6. Top up flask so the bottom of the meniscus is in line with the scratch mark
  7. Stopper the volumetric flask and shake gently
