29
Q

-ელი

A

The Georgian suffix “-ელი” shows the origin of persons – კორეელი, ქართველი.

30
Q

-ური/ული

A

The suffix “-ური/ული” exposes the origin of non-persons and things –
კორეული, ქართული.

31
Q

postpositions

A

Georgian has postpositions like Korean (and not prepositions – unlike English): in “-ში”,
on “-ზე” (ოთახში, წიგნზე). Please, don’t forget to remove the nominative case “-ი”

32
Q

The suffix “-ულ-”

A

The suffix “-ულ-” is dissimilated form of the suffix “-ურ-”. Usually Georgian doesn’t accept
two “რ”-s in one word unless there is one “ლ” between them. Compare: აზია-აზიური,
ქართლი-ქართლური, კორეა-კორეული. Only foreign words may have two “რ”-s.

33
Q

The final “-ა”

A

The final “-ა” is reduced by adding the suffixes “-ელი” or “-ური/ული”: კორეა –
კორეელი, კორეული.
