(attach beard, hair pieces, prosthetic application and scar as well wax)
What is mustache tape?
(A roll of double-sided adhesive film with great holding power)
When should mustache tape be used?
(set-up time before the piece is applied)
When should spirit gum be used?
(hair, beard, and wigs)
How many feet away from the stage does the audience sit?
(80 feet)
There are three primary colors.
(Red, Blue, and Yellow)
Know which colors neutralize red, yellow, and blue.
(Colors that are opposite of one another on the color wheel cancel each other out)
What happens to the skin when applying latex to create aging?
(create textured effects like aged skin, peeling skin)
What is a predisposition test (pD test) and why did we perform this one?
(to determine whether a client has sensitivities or allergies to a color product)
What colors on the color wheel are considered warm colors?
(Yellow, red, orange, red-orange, yellow-orange, and yellow-green)
What colors on the color wheel are considered cool colors?
(Green, blue, violet, blue-green, blue-violet, and red-violet)
How do you make false eyelashes fit the performer?
(trim the lashes)
Where do the false eyelashes sit?
(natural bulk of eyelashes)
What type of adhesive is used to attach false eyelashes?
(cyanoacrylate adhesive)
What is the difference between highlight and contour?
(contouring makes the face look chiseled and sharp, and highlighter, well, highlights the highest points of your face)
Why do you apply contour?
(to sculpt and add dimension to the face)
Where do you apply highlights?
(on cheekbones and temples, down the bridge of your nose, under brows, the inner corners of eyes, and above the cupid’s bow)
When looking at a correct application of stage make-up, how should it look?
(make-up being darker)
What happens to make-up when the stage lights are too blue?
(all red lines and spots appear violet and accentuated)
When creating cuts in the skin, what was applied under the latex to create layers in the skin?
(scar wax)
What is scar wax? How is it applied? What product can be applied to the skin to make the scar wax stick longer?
(special effect make-up for injuries and scars/To apply scar wax, soften it, apply adhesive, shape and sculpt, and blend with the skin/Spirit gum)
