What is “modulation” and how is it represented in the Nashville Number System?

A

Modulation is when song changes key. It is annotated with the abbreviation “Mod” and an indication of the direction and interval of modulation. eg. Mod+2 means key goes up 2 steps (eg. From C ->C#->D)
