Q

What four sins did David commit in the David & Bathsheba story of 2 Samuel 11? Summary 4 specific things said in 2 Samuel 11 that account for why you say David commit these 4 sins.

A

Lustful thoughts: When David saw Bathsheba bathing, he thought that she was a very beautiful woman and called her over to his house thinking impure thoughts.

Adultery: because of David’s lustful thinking, it caused him to lie down with the woman and commit adultery, even though he knew that she was already married.

Deception: because of his sinful actions, David made Bathsheba pregnant. He was instantly worried and didn’t want Bathsheba’s husband to find out. He invited Uriah over to have a night with his wife, hoping that he would lie down with her and think that he made her pregnant.

Murder: When David’s plan fell through, he had Uriah purposely killed in Battle.

All these sins that David had committed, caused a bad effect on a lot of innocent people.
