Maintenance Flashcards
Q1
Verify light intensity on the combined contaminated fuel detector
Quarterly check
M1
Calibration of the naviflash flash point tester monthly check
Q2
Calibration of the combine contaminated fuel detector with removable nonremovable photo so assembly quarterly check or if CCFD is moved
S1
Renew standards card in Freewater detector semi annual check every six months
Defuel cart
A diaphragm air operated positive displacement self priming pump Powered and designed to defuel aircraft at a max rate of 140 gallons per minute at 110 psi
Aircraft to aircraft transfer cart
To transfer aviation fuel from one aircraft to another when the fuel is delivering aircraft does not meet the minimum flashpoint requirement for shipboard use
Sight glass indicator
Installed in the pump discharge line before the filter assembly to visually inspect fuel flow and quality
Solenoid pilot valve is not operating properly
Energize solenoid apply pressure valve inlet
Loosen fitting at cover a valve
If you is under pressure is present the solenoid pilot valve is probably stuck in the D energized position
Hytrol valve failing to open
Loosen tube nut at cover of valve no pressure should be present at this point
Make sure that there’s no pressure in downstream fueling
If no pressures present disconnect union failure of diaphragm in valve is indicated
Remove cover screws and cover a valve
Remove the diaphragm assembly and install new diaphragm if ruptured
Reassemble valve reconnect union and tube fittings
Troubleshooting the quick disconnect coupling
Inspect spider
Troubleshooting the quick disconnect coupling
Contactor and contractor plunger springs
Troubleshooting the quick disconnect coupling
Verify that they are clean unbroken and in good working condition replace any defective parts
Troubleshooting the quick disconnect coupling
Remove for Allen screws remove switch housing which will expose switch
Troubleshooting the quick disconnect coupling
Set multimeter to R x 1000 range
Troubleshooting the quick disconnect coupling
Place one multimeter lead on side of switch that goes to spider contact
