It is when Octavian begins to set up the Principate. He also receives new titles:
- Augustus and Princeps
- Imperator Caesar divi filius (Commander Caesar, son of the deified one)

- The Praetorian guard is set up by Augustus
- He receives the corona civica
- Receives the Shield of Virtue

The Second Constitutional Settlement. This is when Augustus fully goes for full control over the empire, and his goals are more easily detected

There is a food shortage in Rome. It is also when the Conspiracy of Fannius Caepio happens.

What happens in 2BC and what does it mean?
Augustus is given the titles “Pater Patriae”, which means Father of the Country. It was given to celebrate the dedication of the Augustan Forum
