Motion or interaction of molecules, the ability to do work.
Electrons
Subatomic particle that has a negative charge
Magnetism
A force that can attract or repel objects that contain a magnetic material inside them
-caused by electrical charges
-magnetic materials: cobalt, nickel, iron, magnetite
Magnetic Field
A region around a magnetic material where the force of magnetism acts.
Chargers
A physical property that causes matter to experience a force
Protons are positively charged
Electrons are negatively charged
Attraction
Being drawn to another object
Repel
To push away somthing
Electricity
Energy resulting from charged particles.
Static Electricity
An imbalance of electric charges within a material
Electric Field
The area around an electric charge that experiences an electric force.
Electric Current
When electric Charges Move
Open Circuit
A path that electricity flows along that is interrupted or disconnected
Closed Circuit
A complete path of electrical connection around which is a current flows or circulates.
Series Circuit
One path through which electricity flows.
Parallel Circuit
Multiple paths for electricity to flow from one point to another.
