Treatment of hypomagnesemi
Give magnesium
Calcium gluconate if accompanied by hypocalcemia
Check for dysphagia so soft food given
Monitor vital signs
Foods rich in magnesium- chocolates,seafood,nuts legumes green leafy
Hypermagnesemia causes
Renal failuite
Untreated DKA
Excessive use of antacids and laxatives
Hypermagnesemia

Manifestation of hypermagnesemia
Flushed face Mild hypotension Cardiac arrest/heart block Muscle weakness Lethargy Nausea comiting
