A competition or special feature that encourages readers to buy and open the magazine
Mode of address
Formality of language choices- the way in which the text speaks to us
Banner
A strip to tell us another special feature inside
Main image
A photograph that fills the majority of the cover and usually links to the main feature
Sell line
Extra features to sell a magazine (e.g. Special price/ competitions)
Montage
A collection of images to sell features of the magazine
