“Light” - metaphor for god, people, people around him
“Dark and deep desires” - were before LM’s influence, stuck with these thoughts

“Unsex me here” - reduce my femininity, take away my feminine qualities, has to sacrifice so much to be worthy in society

Macbeth guilty - the way of human nature (guilty at first, no feeling after many times), can link to LM washing hands in act 5

“Walking shadow” - power, ambition, title - always chasing, always want more

Look nice, act evil - LM’s order to Macbeth

Foreshadows Macbeth’s eventual downfall - he loses his mind

Throughout play, morality is flipped
Brave Macbeth ➡️ evil

“Instruments of darkness” - witches to play with Macbeth (like instrument)
juxtaposition - truths only to win your loyalty/trust - foreshadows witches’ effect on Macbeth
