This Hyperbole suggests that there is no greater guilt he can feel and implies to the audience just how bad it is
Lady M: ‘I shame to wear a heart so white’
“white” suggesting purity and innocence, suggests that Lady M is ashamed of a man who is so weak and fragile. Men are meant to be the stronger sex at the time
