Q

Are the witches to blame for Macbeth’s downfall

A

Many would argue that the witches started the ideas in his head of murder and kingship however it all rooted from ambition. Banquo was told he would have a descendant of him be King and he did not have an urge to chase it he let life go on. So the Witches were partly to blame for Macbeth’s downfall along with Lady Macbeth and Macbeth himself.
