Beta
The second letter in the Greek alphabet. In
computing, beta is referred to as the second
stage in software development, where testing
and sampling are made available to an intended
audience in order to fully test and release
a product.
Browser Cache
Often referred to as web cache, browser cache
saves various html information for later use when
revisiting websites to increase your web browsing
speeds
Cloud Computing
A paid service that makes computer
resources available over the internet.
Cloud Print
A service that allows users to seamlessly
connect and use printers over the internet
Cookie
Cookies are pieces of information sent from the
websites we visit, to the local computer that help
keep track of user activity and web traffic.
Cycle Count
A measurement used to track how many times
a battery has been fully depleted and recharged
Device Manager
Windows computers use device manager
(devmgmt) which allow the user to view or
modify the drivers (software), for the hardware
attached to the computer.
Driver
The program installed on hardware that
communicates with other hardware devices.
Hostname
A name that identifies a device
connected to a system or a network
Integrated Development Environments
A program or application that is used by developers
and computer programmers to edit and compile
code
Internet Protocol
A protocol that allows for sending and receiving
data packets over the internet
IP Address
A string of numbers or an alphanumeric string used
to identify a device over a network or the internet
Latency
A delay in data transmission
Network_diag
An administrative command used to diagnose
network issues
Node
A device connected to a network.
