Leopold Maneuver
A
1st step: palpate clients abdomen to determine fetal fundus (superior surface); identifies lie (transverse, etc.) and presentation (cephalic, breech)
2nd step: both sides of uterus are palpated to determine fetal back
3rd step: determines which part is presenting in the pelvic inlet (grasps lower uterine with thumb and forefinger)
4th step: nurse faces clients feet and uses fingertips to determine cephalic prominence
