Cotswold modifications of ann arbor

A
  • Bulky dz: 33% or more of internal transverse thoracic diameter
  • Number of anatomic regions involved should be indicated by subscript
  • Stage 3 may be subdivided into- III(1): w/wo splenic, hilar, celiac, or portal nodes, III(2): with paraortic, iliac, or mesenteric nodes
  • staging should be identified as clinical or pathological stage
  • category of response to therapy
  • new category: unconfirmed/uncertain complete remission

A
  • median age 66
  • more common in men
  • highest incidence in US
  • increased chance with Epstein-barr, HTLV 1, hepatitis C, H pylori
  • associated with warm-antibiody autoimmune, hemolytic anemias
  • anticipate superior vena cava dz, cardiac tamponade

Abdominal fullness- most common in BURKITT lymphoma
