Who is Laurent Clerc?
He was an apostle of the deaf in America, he co founded the first deaf school, he helped set the foundations for American Sign Language, he is a deaf man from France, and he was the first deaf teacher in America, too.

He was born on December 26, 1785 and died on July 18, 1869.
