A
Its the measurement of the relative distribution of blood flow to each lung or any portion of the lung

Why is it a pre operative assessment?
A
-For high-risk patients before planned lung resection
-malignancy
-severe COPD
-Lung transplant

What views are acquired in lung quants?
A
-Ant and post
-Right to left differential
-Posterior oblique views provide a better separation of the upper and lower lobes

How to analyse lung quants?
A
-ROIs
- To compare one lung to the other
- To compare one segment to another
