What do then crowds ask John the Baptist in Luke 3?
Crowds ask what to do. He says, if you have two cloaks, share one with someone who has none. Same goes for food, soldiers ask, too. Don’t accuse people falsely, and don’t complain about your wages.
Luke 4: 16-30 and Mark are very similar, but what does Luke add?
THIS IS IMPORTANT BUT VERY HARD
1) JESUS READS ISAIAH 61: 1-2. “The spirit of the lord is upon me for he has anointed to preach good news to the poor.”
2) In Luke it says “Today this scripture is fulfilled in your healing.” Basically JESUS IS THE MESSIAH FOR THE POOR.
3) In Luke 4: 25-26 he says the prophet Elijah went to the wind of Zarephath in Sidon Lebanon.
4) There were lepers in Israel but God healed Naaman the Syrian.
What happens in Luke 5: 12-16?
Jesus cleanses a leper.
What happens in Luke 5: 17-26?
He heals the paralyzed man, he offends scribes by telling the paralytic his sins are forgiven.
