Q

One of things that characterizes Luke’s Gospel is an unusual emphasis on food. Write about a special meal you have shared with your family or friends. What made it so special? How is sharing food together sometimes about a lot more than just food? What do you think Jesus wanted us to understand with all the focus on food and food fellowship we hear about in the Gospel of Luke?

A

A special meal I shared was with my friends recently. We had ate over the weekend and ate some delicious seafood boil with clams, mussels, shrimp, and crab. This made it special because not only was I eating with people I love, but we got to experience trying new food and how it would be like. We got to wear gloves and bibs which is not your typical dinner. Jesus wants us to understand that is okay to cross social boundaries and that everyone is welcome to the table, because at the end of the day we are all brothers and sisters through Christ and we have to remember to treat everyone well and that there is always enough for everyone!
