- Used facial photographs & used a computer to digitize to combine multiple faces into one image.
- The more faces they added the more attractive the face!
- each persons representation of men/women - created in a similar way to that of the composite face
= thats why we have our own idea of. how attractive someone is

Aspects of appearance that influence attraction

A

Colour red, Body type/shape, Overweight.
1. Colour Red: Red is associated with increased attractiveness, particularly for women.
2. Body Type/Shape: Different body types evoke specific stereotypes
- Round body builds are associated with a relaxed personality
- muscular builds with health and vigor,
- thin builds with intelligence and introspection.
3. Overweight: Being overweight is generally viewed negatively in many societies, leading to stigmatization and discrimination
- However, cultural variations exist
