Lowe 6 Flashcards
Name cusps from longest to shortest
MB>DL>MB>DB>D
How many grooves from buccal side ?
MB, between MB and DB
DB , between DB and D
Theyvend in the middle
What’s the charactersitics of buccal grooves ?
MB in longest than DB and most of time they end with deep pit.
which is decay site makes this molar common to buccal Carie’s
Which cusps visible behind buccal cusps from buccal ?
Lingual cusps
What’s the difference between 1st and 2nd molars roots ?
1st wider root spread and more curved , short trunk buccally
2nd less spread and more straight , longer trunk buccallly
How does contact appears buccally ?
Mesial contact : more occlusally close to middle occlusal third
Distal : more cervically , middle third near cervical
How does cervical line appear buccally ?
Nearly straight across buccally
How cementum can negitivlly affect the molar ?
Sometime cover the root bifurcation in M-D direction sometimes point of enamel dips down near bifurcation this type of enamel found in lingual side and meets in bifurcation causing Perio problems because of deep gingival sulcus in this region
How does the taper from buccal view ?
Taper from contact point to cervical line in 1st more than 2nd due to distal cusp bulge
2nd wider cervically than 1st
Why buccal aspect has short root trunk ?
Cause root bifurcation near cervical line
Why lingual side narrower than buccal ?
The crown taper from buccal to lingual
Why lingual side narrower than buccal ?
The crown taper from buccal to lingual
Which cusps are the sharpest ?
Lingual
ML wide and long than DL
Which cusps are the sharpest ?
Lingual
ML wide and long than DL
How many cusps seen from lingual view?
Only lingual cusps
