what are immunoglobulins?

class of proteins that function as antibodies
normal and disease specific immunoglobulins

passive immunity: short term, antibodies passed from another human or animal eg from placenta
active: from natrual disease or vaccinations
what do vaccinations do?
stimulate production of antibodies and other components of immune system

test to screen and diagnose TB.
