St Bernadette witnessed a miracle in seeing Mary. People go to Lourdes to search for their own miracle
Why do Christians go on a pilgrimage
Become closer to god
Cured from illness
Add discipline to their spiritual life
Why should Christians go on a pilgrimage
Even if there is nothing wrong with you a pilgrimage keeps you closer to God
Follow example of Jesus who went to Jerusalem every Passover
Why won’t some Christians go on pilgrimages
Many Christians have more important Christian duties to fulfil, such as helping the less fortunate
Too expensive
