Lou connecting points description
aka divergent meridian. there are 12 divergent meridians which branch out from the qw main meridian are mainly distributed on the chest abdomen and head.
the function: connects internal/externally related meridians, strengthen their relationship with the zang fu organs, and serves as an extensions the main meridian.
most of the meridians diverge from the main meridian onto the limbs and then enter the thoracic and abdominal cavities.

LU7 Location and indication
L: superior to the styloid process of the radius 1.5 cun above transverse crease of the wrist between the brachial radial muscles and the tendons abductor muscle of the thumb.
I: HA, migraine, neck rigidity, sore throat, facieal paralyssis, pain, and weaness of wrist.
LI 6 Location and indication
L: with elbow flexed and radial side of arm upward, the point is on the line joining LI15 and LI11, 3 cun above the crease of the wrist.
I: redness of the eye, tinnitus, deafness, epistaxis, aching of the hand, arm, sore throat, edema
ST40 location and indication
L: 8 cun superior to the tip of the external malleolus, lateral to ST38 and 2 fingers breadth lateral to anterior boarder of the tibia.
I: HA dizziness, vertigo, cough, asthma, excessive sputum, pain in the chest, constipation, mania, epilepsy, muscular atrophy, motor impairment, pa and swelling and paralysis of the lower extremities.
SP4 Location and indication
L: in the depression distal and inferior to the base of the 1st metatarsal bone at the junction of the red and white skin.
I: gastric pain, vomiting abdominal pain, and distention, diarrhea, dysentery borborygmus.
HT5 Location and indication
L: when the palm faces upward the point is on the radial side o the tendon of m. flexor carpi ulnaris 1 cun above the transverse crease of the wrist.
I: palpation, dizziness, blurred vision, sore throat, sudden loss of voice, aphasia, w/stiffness of the tongue, pain in the wrist and elbow.
SI 7 Location and Indication
L: on line joining SI5 and SI8, 5 cun proximal to dorsal crease of wrist.
I: neck rigidity, HA, dizziness, spasmodic P in elbows and fingers, febrile disease, and mania
BL58 Location and Indication
L: 7cun directly above B60 on posterior boarder of fibula 1 cun lateral and inferior to BL57.
I: HA blurring vision, nasal obstruction, epistaxis, back pain, hemorrhoids, weakness of leg.
KD4 Location and indication
L: posterior and inferior the medial malleolus in the depression anterior to the medial side of the attachment of the Achilles tendon.
I: spitting of blood, asthma, stiffness and pain in the low back, dysuria, constipation pain in the heel, dementia.
PC6 Location and Indication
L: 2 cun above the transverse crease of wrist between tendons palmaris longus and flexor
carpi radialis
I: cardiac pain, palpation, stuffy chest, pain in the hypochondriac region, stomach ache, nausea, vomiting hiccups, mental disorders, epilepsy, insomnia, febrile diseases, malaria contractures and pain of elbow and arm.
SJ 7 location and indication
L: at the level with SJ 6 on the radial side of SJ6 on the radial boarder of the ulna.
I: deafness pain in ear, epilepsy, pain in the arm
GB 37 Location and indication
L: 5 cun above the tip of the external malleolus on the anterior boarder of the fibula.
I: pain in knee, muscular atrophy, motor impairment, pain of the lower extremities, blurring vision, ophthalmalgia, night blindness, distending pain of breast.
LV5 location and indication
L: 5 cun above the tips of the medial malleolus on the midline of the medial surface of the tibia.
I: retention of urine, enuresis, hernia, irregular mensuration, leukorrhea, puritis, valvae, weakness and atrophy of legs.
R15 Location and indication
L: on the anterior midline 1 cun below xyphosternal synchondrosis
I: pain in cardiac region and chest, nausea, mental disorder epilepsy
DU1 Location and indication
L: midway between tip of the coccyx and the anus
I: diarrhea, bloody stools, hemorrhoids, prolapse of rectum, constipation, pain in low back, epilepsy
